Petal Palette, Petal Passion DSP Stamp N Hop

Everyone must be getting the idea that I love a good blog hop - well I have joined another group of bloggers from all around the world called Stamp 'N Hop on Facebook. We are planning monthly hops with a theme so you can get inspired by goodies that all have at least one thing in common. This months hop is Anything Occasions - what fun as this is a great catalogue with 41 different stamp sets (counting wood / clear options as 1)!

So I am hanging out in the Australian Catalogue pages 22-23 with the Petal Passion Suite. Team it with any colour you love - the black and white  Petal Passion DSP is perfect for all occasions.

So let me tell you a little more about my card - yes it was sent as a sympathy card - the hardest I find to make but to me more important than most. I also usually hold off sending them for a week or even 10 days after the loss as that's the time I found the hardest in my experience. That first week is super busy getting ready to say our farewells the shock is still huge and we go about on autopilot doing what needs to be done! the week after the family is good supportive but that wanes as wee need to get back to work, kids sport and doing all those things before our hearts stopped still to farewell someone precious. That was when the loss hits hard - the support is still there but everyone goes back about their lives but the person the card goes to can't - it will never be the same. I have also been known to send flowers a month after rather than at the time.

So this card I pulled out the 2 new watercolour pencils that are exclusive to the Lots of Happy Card Kit on page 15 to use to colour my flower - Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist - now you could use ink but I have the pencils and love them so pencils it was! The sentiment is from The Ribbon Of Courage set 143885 in the annual catalogue as I just love it!

  17. Your card is elegantly beautiful. The colors work so well together, and the layers are so pretty. I think you are absolutely right about waiting a few days to send a sympathy card. In my opinion, it is so important to extend our support to those who have lost family and friends long after the immediate loss. Thank you for sharing such a stunning card. Looking forward to "seeing" you next month on the blog hop.
