Holiday Happenings - Scrapbooking Global Dec 2018 Blog Hop

I love the whole Santa's Workshop Suite so it was easy to use it with these photos of my youngest. To say she loves Candy Canes is an understatement!

Both photos started as size 6x4 but with all the bright orange price labels that Bunnings is known for I decided to trim them up a bit. The square photo is 3.5x3.5 inch and the other is 3.5 x 5.5 inch.
I pulled out all of my stamp sets that had a small 'love' word in them (I was actually surprised how many there were) - I picked 3 to play with. The little candy canes in the Elf's trolley are fussy cut from the DSP.

I have pulled in some of the Memories & More cards and stickers for my title and to add some layers. Miss Tara loves her page as much as she loves Candy Canes apparently!

Thank you for joining me now please hop on over to see the great 1st Christmas page my fellow Aussie Sharon has to share.

Reflecting the season - it’s Baby Season! SBTD Dec Blog Hop

Welcome to this months blog hop with the Stampers By the Dozen crew.
The theme for this month is Reflection of the season - Non holiday projects. Well I'm in Australia and we are officialy in Summer. I could have easily made a great hot summer card but wanted to reflect something else about the spring summer season and that is the abundance of babies happening at the moment. I am a midwife and wow we have had a populaion explosion!
Not only have we been busy at work but a lot of our work (mine and my hubbies - Tony) work colleges are off having babies as well.

I had nothing in my stash for a new baby so pulled out the Animal Expedition DSP since I hadn't cracked the packet open yet. The first gift I had was this super cute Rhino and blanket. So I made the card to go with the gift - I couldn’t come at a pink Rhino though when colouring. The card base is Melon Mambo the Rhino and Bird are coloured with Stampin' Blends.

Thank you for hopping with me now please pop on over and see what Tashana has to share.

Stampin' Up! Signs of Santa - Global Stamping Friends Seasonal Fun Blog Hop

Welcome to my post of Seasonal Fun for the group Global Stamping Friends. Have you just hopped over from Rachel's Blog - how great were her projects!

I would love to share the Santa's Workshop Suite with you - I am a little sad that its not carrying over I will admit as it is a fun suite.

So this is a step fold card as my Stamp Club friends had asked me to do something 'different' but still a card. The inside also got decorated as did the envelope. This card has been made to fit into a standard Australian C6 envelope.

So here's some of the tricks we did with this card.
Using the Stamparatus they stamped all the images at once onto a 13cm square piece of whisper white cardstock.  Notice how I spaced them out so that I could cut them all at once as well. We use Stampin' Blends to colour our festive folk - everyone had the choice to colour first then cut later or cut first colour later.

It made it a super fun quick and easy project once we made our steps. Can I suggest you practice first or create a template or example first.

Cut A4 card in half to give you a piece 14.9cm x 21cm fold in half at the 10.5 cm point. Using the trimmer measure across 8 cm then using the ruler on the clear trimmer arm (where the blade slides) starting at 5.5cm cut down to 18.5 cm, score as per the photo below. Crease the score lines in alternate directions to give the step look.
If you would like to add pieces of another colour to the front and inside these measure
7.5cm x 10cm, (cut 2 one for the front one for the inside.)
6.5cm x 2.0cm,
6.6 x 2.5cm
6.5 x 4.5cm

So on that note I bid Signs of Santa a fond farewell as I secretly stash it away in the 'do not sell second hand draw' because this is one I have to keep.
Pleas hop on over and see what Kimberly has to share.
