Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop

Time is precious in this home as with any home and its often the things I want to do for myself that get forgotten or left undone. In saying that I am yet to finish scrapping our trip to Hawaii in January.
I head off on a weekend away twice a year so I get most of it don't then - I develop photos like a mad lady leading up to our weekends - so have photos galore to play with!

The Memories & More range from Stampin' Up! makes it super easy and quick to get those photos into an album - this I love!

A little bit of background - My little family consists of me (Courtenay) my hubby Tony, my 3 girls Eilish, Maeve and Tara. We often trip with my Aunt Lorri, usually to some amazing places! This ttrip we went to Hawaii for 13 days (I have about 5500 photos!). We cruised on the Pride of America then hung out on the Main Island in Waikiki. These photos are part of one day - a Day trip that covered most of the Island in 9 hrs with a local guide - Gary.
We had a massive to 'Go, See, Do' list and let me say all bar one thing got ticked off that list - that being my youngest daughters 'need' for shaved ice! I seriously think I could do another 6-8 pages from this day alone.

The journaling is what takes me the extra time - I have a heap of notes that I took and recorded along the way (I do love the 'take a note Siri' function on the iPhone) so that makes it a little easier.

I have used the Color Theory Memories & More pack - it goes a long way when I use it since I am so photo heavy. I have also used some of the cards for card fronts which adds to the versatility of this pack. The pages don't only need the cards on them and as you can see on this tree hugging spread I have made the most of our new Lovely Words Thinlits. Hugging these trees was a big deal for my Aunt so we made it super fun for us all - let me take the time to say the tree photos do not do this bark justice - it was an amazing colour!

These 4 pages took less than an hour - I take me ages to document (funny since I'm a Midwife and all we do is document - maybe that's the problem - oh I don't know).
I am also known in the family for taking heaps of photos so there's only ever a few spaces on my pocket pages. This album is a work in progress and I have a ton of notes to make my life easier when I get the time to scrap.

I hope you like this small glimpse into my family and our super special holiday.

  1. Courtenay you make the Pocket pages look so easy, they scare me... I have only done a couple!!! It really is just about getting all the journalling done to tell the story...Journalling is not my strong point. Thank you for sharing your holiday photos with us. Thanks for being part of the Hop, Cheers Shaz
