Masculine Scrapbooking Page - Stampin' Up! with The Scrapbooking Global Team.

Welcome once again to the Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop, we have 19 hoppers with us this time so heaps to see - This month our theme is Masculine pages so a little different to what I am usually up to. Having 3 daughters that are usually featured in my pages I really needed to think about where I wanted this page to go.

I am really missing Basic Black Cardstock 12x12 as I do like to frame all my pages so this time I have a Basic Grey back piece but it has been inked up with the grease spill stamp from The Garage Gears stamp set.

The Whisper White main cardstock piece needed something so I spread some embossing paste randomly across it using a paddle pop stick then let it dry. I then added Crushed curry ink to a piece of recycled cello bag scrunched it up with some shimmer paint then patted it onto the page surface.
I figured it needed more black so out came the Memento reinker bottle and I flicked it about the page (note it didn't dry real fast - actually the next morning it was still wet so I had to dab it dry with a tissue)

I used the Dies from the Garage Gears set to add a feature and the silver spots are the bits that fell out of the gear centers. The journaling strips are 1/2cm thick and I just wrote a few tid-bits my husband was saying as he remembered his time at the track with James.
I distressed the edges of my Whisper White card with my snips - they are sharp!

Heads up Garage Gears is staying for the new Catalogue year but as individual products not the discounted bundle.
Thank you for joining me I look forward to reading your comments below. Please now continue along the hop and see Danielle has to share with us.
