Paisleys & Posies CASE

Oh my Gravy have you seen this gorgeous card on Pinterest yet? Hasn't Dawn done a lovely job and the colour challenge colours look great together.

I don't have the Oval framelits yet so had to improvise on what I had planned to be a exact CASE but that's ok as the circles work for me. Do you just love the Layering Circles as much as I do - so many sizes and that cute little scallop is just divine?

Ok I have some new colour combinations floating about my head so that's all for today - I'm off to try out Dapper Denim as my base colour and see what I come up with.
Happy Stampin' peeps.

Gift Box it!

Our DSP looks great on cards but get a look at this box I made using it!
Oh my goodness its so cute and now I want to box all the gifts.
Everyone gets a box!

No really the box is super cute and the new Stitched Framelits teamed with one of our Scalloped Circle Dies makes a perfect tag.

Oh and the gift in this case was a Bone folder for one of my team members to celebrate her achieving Bronze Elite.

The box in this case - cardstock and DSP cut 3" x 7.5" then take a smidge like smallest smidge ever off 2 sides of the cardstock - not the DSP. Score 1/2" on all sides of both pieces. Snip to make flaps to fold in at the end of the box, fold and use the bone folder to give a really good fold (appropriate hey) on all score lines. Fast Fuse the flaps and stick the flaps to the ends to make the top and bottom of your box.

Stampin' Up1 published a great video on how to do it HERE

Ruth loved it - and Tanya's was a separate one. I engraved them on my laser machine and oh it does a lovely job.

I've had messages asking where I got the Bone folders engraved - I do them myself on an industrial Laser Machine. If you are in Australia I am happy to do them and they can be purchased through my Etsy store HERE If you have found my blog and you are from the USA Tamra does them and her Etsy store is HERE

OnStage in Review.

OnStage Photo Review.

I love OnStage - a Demonstrator only event where we get to be inspired, we create and we share more than just our love of Stampin' Up!
This time I attended the event in Brisbane - 3 days of pure fun and inspiration that left me excited about what's to come with January and exhausted from how much there was to take in - lucky I had my notepad.
A little about OnStage as I know not everyone reading this is a Demonstrator. We have a 6 monthly get together - one big 3 day event somewhere in the world - this time it was Brisbane's turn and a load of smaller one day events in numerous cities so that we could all be inspired at the same-ish time.
I was very excite to fly from Sydney to Brisbane and stayed with a great group of other Demonstrators - one being my aunt.
None of the card photos are mine - they were on the boards for inspiration shared by some other amazing Demonstrators.

There was a massive screen above the stage so no one missed anything - we could even see exactly what their hands were doing as they showed us some great creations with the new goodies.

That's what the view of the stage looked like from my seat and below is the critter that Rich was colouring in with our Fine Tip Glue Pen mixed with reinker! Do you like the Shelli and Sara sandwich Rich? Check out the hash tag #menofstampinup to see more great photos on social media sites - I loved it.

How cool is that slimy looking critter?

Emma was so much fun to watch - I honestly think she was having as much fun as we did watching though!

A mug shot of me with Emma from New Zealand.

 Room mates

Featuring a beautiful Million Dollar set - this one will be popular and now after seeing it demonstrated I need it!

Birthdays - Yay for Birthdays - great for the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement on social media. Check it out next time you are on Facebook or Instagram.

Not the greatest photo but I looove this - how cute is our Bakers Box? Australia Post would be proud of this take on it. Mmmm a little note I see in there.

Lucky I'm ok with Balloons not like my mother she is not a fan - they were everywhere!

Now these Elephants were amazing and one stamp set that blew me out of the water with its versatility. The presentation sold me this little guy and he moved straight to the top of the must have list for pre order! (Demonstrators get to pre-order approximately a month before a catalogue goes live so we can have great samples ready to show you all as soon as it goes live - in this case 4th January)

This event was super special - as all Birthdays are.

Roof top dinner with an amazing view of the city.

Time to Celebrate 50

Look who is 50

A beautiful friend hit a milestone - 1/2 a Century!
That is a big deal as far as I am concerned so not only did it need a fun and special party but a glam card to go with it.

The colours are Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky and Crumb Cake.

Now that you have seen  how it ended - there was some play involved getting it there - stripe direction and the number of stripes. Colour choice was also stumping me as I wanted to go bright but subtle won. I am still yet to use the bright one that reminds me of a football scarf.

On Stage Swap Happy Days

November is here finally and I have been waiting what feels like forever for this weekend.

Twice a year Stampin' Up! have a On Stage (convention) event where we get some training, get to catch up with friends, checkout new goodies and share some inspiration in the way of swaps. So here are mine and there are 40 of them to swap with friends.

The process started with my aunts scraps and then I went from there.

So I punched my circles and cut some thin strips of silver for the front of my card face. I love how Silver glimmer paper and Night of Navy go together so that was another decision made.

Swaps are a big long process so I had to make things a little quicker when ever I could. Instead of turning on the heat gun each time they were batched in lots of 10 attached to a piece of chipboard (from the back of the DSP pack)

This sentiment from Bunch Of Blossoms (141573) was perfect.

The pieces coming together as I like to batch process.

So will all my components together in a box I started the process of popping them together and this is what they ended up looking like.

so the recipe - or the good stuff I used!
