Dad's continue to Celebrate

Now I can share the other Fathers Day Card I made this time for my Father-in-Law.
Although it's highly unlikely he will see my blog posts (not really a craft following man and I'm not sure my Mother-in-Law lets him on the computer much) I don't share my cards online until they have been given to the recipient. Now say that this rule applies to cards made for particular people or events not those I just want to make because I can.

Does it look familiar? Well if you have a copy of the current annual catalogue it might tickle those rememberers- yes in my home that's a real word.

I CASEd it from the catalogue. Often it's the catalogue photos that make me love a stamp set, but let me say Pinterest also has enabled me to spend up bigger on an ever growing wish list.

The featured stamp set is Guy Greetings, my colours are Old Olive, Dapper Denim and Tangerine Tango. I love the new star embossing folder and to give the colour a little more depth I pulled out the new sponge rollers - wow those are fun and yield a great result. Let me say the FIL was impressed - stated he couldn't wait to show the people from the Caravan Club - hehehe that's a big deal for him.

Do you notice that some stamp sets are hard to squeeze back imto their cases? I have been taking photos and have even go a special Pinterest board happening for them if you would like to follow it you are most welcome and it can be found HERE.

Gate fold it!

Guy Greetings - a direct CASE from Lisa over at Peanuts and Peppers Papercraft my class and workshop ladies loved it. The best bit is that she has all the instructions listed so it was even easier to get it right.
I checked the list and had all the goodies required - changed the colours around a bit to suit my taste and here you have it.

Loved it so much that I had to use the silver foil card - well that comes up a treat and looking super special (quietly I might just save this special one for hubby)

Do you want to make this yourself? Check out Lisa's instructions collect your goodies together and get crafting.

Are you in Australia and need to shop for your own supplies pop over to my Stampin' Up! Store to stock up. Add up your purchase don't forget to round it up to the nearest $90 to get your FREE Sale-A-Bration goodies.

Guy Greetings Stamp Set

Guy Greetings wasn't a stamp set that made it to my wish list initially but recently with a plethora of male birthdays and a Fathers Day on the horizon I found myself looking more seriously at it.

Following a busy open house at my place I had a huge order to put in that netted me a half price item so perfect timing. I love our host rewards at the best of times but it's even better that Demonstrators  are also entitled to those same rewards along with other perks.
Enough of that I'm sure you want to see what I've done with this set since I've thought enough of it to write a whole blog post about it.
Let's start with some Birthday love for the builder in the family - oh how I love the way silver foil comes up when going through the Big Shot.

Fathers Day for my Father In Law

This kids wanted to get in on some of the stampin fun so here is a glimps into my life and my beautiful girls. Their father loved his cards and was a very good sport not peaking whilst the creating was taking place.

The inside was completely written with these stamps - interesting as this kid is not usually very patient.

The front of Miss T's card

Next we move onto Miss M

She loved the colouring with the markers - dad looks like he had a poor fake tan we decided.

It's fun to annoy the big sister whilst she is concentrating apparently!
Miss 16 wanted to be a little different so Sprinkles of life made an appearance.

So to sum it up Guy Greetings from Stampin' Up! Is a fun versatile set that comes in wood, clear and photopolymer. In Australa it is $89 wood, $61 clear or $45 pp. I am still to master the art of marker colouring on the photopolymer so my preference is for red rubber but how great is it that all varieties are available so all loves are catered for.
