Kit of wonder - Tin of Cards

I am in kit love!
They never really grabbed me but wow this catalogue has a lot of kit love to offer.
I hearby stand converted.
I ran the Tin Of Cards as a class this past week and my friends loved it also.
The kit sells in Australia for $47 plus postage and has a divine stamp set to go with it.
All the goodies can be seen on page 152 of the Australian Catalogue and the stamp set is on page 110 but here are some photos of my set.

The kit includes goodies to make 16 cards - 4 of each design. You will need ink, adhesive and the coordinating stamp set to complete it as per the instructions.

Following the instructions here is a pic of the 4 cards - love them all and can't decide which is my favourite.

The stamp set that coordinates is also called Tin Of Cards code 138946 cost $30 au. I have used it heaps and the photopolymer is a lovely pink colour now because the font is so pretty.

Oh and you should see the new kits that have arrived with the Holiday Catalogue - I'm in love with the shaker cards in there.
Drop me a line if you would like a catalogue.

Remember your manners

Always say thank you my mother said!
What do you say to someone that's fine a great job over the last 2 years, changed the dynamics of his team and the charges they all look after Thank You doesn't really cut it but it's the best I had.
Our High School Principal is leaving and my hubby requested a card on behalf of the P&C to bid him a fond farewell.
My kids are devistated, his staff apprehensive of change but greatful for his presence over the last 2 years.
Hope you like his card as much as he did.

Side note - I love the new patterns on the DSP stacks for the colour collections.

Preorder Day for Demos

I am happy dancing I have put my preorder in and I came in under budget! Yes I still have a huge wish list but that will have to wait till I've done more demos.
I can show you the cover for the new #Stampinup #Holiday #Catalogue if the cover makes you smile let me tell you the inside is even better!

All the goodies I picked are tucked neatly amongst the pages - they should have made the cover but it would have been so hard to decide what got pride of place since it's all so good.

Before I go here is a card from last weeks workshop - it met the brief supplied by my hostess.
*must use Big Shot to emboss - tick
*use the stamp set Beautiful Bunch - tick
*pop up slightly off the card front, not be 'flat' - tick
* have some ribbon on it - tick

I popped the greeting on the inside - just because I could.
Have a great one.

A smile is your best curve!

Laughing is good for the soul, contagious and feels wonderful.
We don't laugh enough and it's often hard to capture it on film but I was blessed when my eldest daughter laughed so hard and I got great photos to scrap of this beautiful memory.
The background to this page started after a long drive on Cristmas day 2014 to visit relatives. The kids jammed in the back of our car for said long drive when they would have rather been playing with new toys, watching new DVDs or just plain wishing they were not in a car listening to my choice of music.
Eilish smiles but is usually reluctant to flash her braces because apparently it's just not cool! They cost me a lot of money I'd be happy for her to show everyone them!
Her uncle - my brother in law said something funny as he does and I just happened to be in the right place with my camera ready.
These photos are precious and I say to all 3 of my little ladies that everyday your smile is the best thing you can put on your face. I hope this page makes you smile on what is a wonderful day.

I have used Stampin' Up! products only on this page - I wanted the photos to be the focus.
The black stripe is from the Neutrals DSP stack, the new Layered Letters Alphabet stamp set (yes I fussy cut those) the colour ink -Watermelon Wonder and the coordination new lace trim that I love.
The script is one off my computer and I just printed it on our Whisper White Cardstock because it prints on, stamps on and in general is such lovely quality card.

School holiday fun down South

Week one of the school holls are done and dusted with this evening and we have already jammed some fun stuff into the kids break.
We started early with a break away from home visiting a much loved friend down South.
Here are some pictures of our adventure.

Let me tell you it was freezing in Kangaroo Valley the day we went over Berry Mountain for a visit.  2 Hours south of Sydney this is a hidden treasure - more information about accommodation and things to do can be found here - Tourism Information
Although they had jumpers and beanies on - 2 of these kiddies had bare legs - madness but apparently they were not cold!
A stop in at the Pioneer Museum  had the kids learning stuff . The museum had talking history spots and visual displays from the pioneer days of the area. The kids got to do and activity sheet with the incentive of a reward at the end.

We visited a Dairy, Forge, School House, Settlers cottage, a Museum and war remembrance room.
They even helped each other with the quiz!
A highlight of the visit was this big swing bridge - it was the entrance to the bush walks. The kids (including my big husband one) had a ball bouncing their way over this, my friend was not so keen.

Ahh the school room - those desks were a bit of a tight squeeze.

The sun dial had the correct time - I was not surprised but the kids sure were and they read it easier than they do their clocks - might need to work on that!

At the end of the tour and quiz the kids got to 'bundy' off and received postcards and information booklets about their visit.

The view from the new Telecom tower vantage point.

#punchitup Stampin Up Demo challenge

I've been playing with the punches but not happy with any of my creations for the Stampin' Up! Demo challenge.
Create something using at least 2 of the below punch's

I love these punch's and the great things Pinterset has as examples for their use.
Think outside the square - I told my dear daughter what I was up to and between us we came up with this little beauty. She has a bit if an obsession with dragons at the moment so there was no chances it was going to be a flower!

All 4 punch's were used and some extras. I'm chuffed with how he came up.

Sine we are on the topic of Dragons
Here is a pic of her art project - love that she used our Striped Scallop Thinlits to create the scales of her dragon (bit snake like but she didn't like it when I said that).

Birthday wishes with Build A Birthday

Just popped in from a super busy week to share some Birthday wishes using the new Build A Birthday stamp set.
My Miss 12 needed a card pronto for her friend so she pulled off the shelf my new favourite birthday set.
We created together which is always nice - I also had stored in the back of my mind that there is another party next week we need a card for so the whole 2 birds one stone saying came to mind.

And mine

Happy stamping friends

Baby shower - Gender reveal Party.

The weekend just gone was more than a little special.
My brother and his beautiful bride are having another baby (number 4) they got the sonographer popped the gender on a note and this was in a sealed envelope.
Off to a gender reveal baby shower we all went to find out what it is going to be - the little brothers want a baby dinosaur!

I made the treat bags to say thanks for coming so got to use my Gift Bag Punch Board to make these little beauties.

So I bought my neutral gift and wrapped it in star paper. Well I flicked through the catalogue and decided this card was perfect to CASE.

We had a guessing game and drew a winner from the appropriate jar for a prize of chocolates.

Out came the cake that was going to share with all the guests what the new baby is going to be.

Yay a pink inner - it's a little girl!

I am so excited to say the least and can't wait for this little prices to show us her pretty face late September.

Gold Metallic Thread

Fixed I say! This stuff wants to unravel like an embroidery thread spool so will get treated as such!
This a thread net you get from the habby/sewing store that goes over your cotton to stop them unraveling.
It works beautifully on our thread and is heaps easier than tape.

What is this stuff you say - anyone that sews will know it as Thread Net. In Australia the cheapest place I found it was at Punch With Judy - I cut them to the size I want. In America you would get it online from Amazon or in store at JoAnn's

I love that with the new Stampin' Up year our weekly deals have continued.
The chance to get goodies at a 25% discount is huge. Just purchasing one punch is enough to save you more than the postage costs.
Weekly deals start on the Wednesday of each week and end 11.50pm on the following Tuesday night.
So I'm thinking you want to know what the deals are this week?

Time to stock up and some fast fuse refills I think - oh and one can never have enough buttons or ribbon.
