Stampin' Up! New Paper Trimmer - available now!

Let's just say after a month using it - I love the new trimmer!

Item: 152392 | $44.00 aud/$53.00 nzd

  • measures 39 x 20.3 x 1.3 cm (15–3/8″ x 8-1/2″)
  • includes 1 cutting and 1 scoring blade
  • includes imperial and metric (inches and mm) measurements
  • Ruler and grid are protected by a durable plastic cover
  • Point on cutting handle for precise measuring
  • Right-side grid for cutting thin strips
  • 9 rubber grip feet for stability and non-slip instead of 5
  • Longer extension arm goes to 43.5 cm (17-1/8″)
  • The extension arm does not need a “foot” to keep it steady when extended.
  • The 6″ position on the rule mark has a little arrow pointing at the 6″ line so it is very clear where the measurement is.
  • The Extension arm - when in closed position allows paper to rest flush against it at the 6″ mark which is great for measuring smaller pieces. (one of the things I really love)
  • No cutting track to fall out or replace - yay!
  • The extension arm has no gap so any measurement is easy to see
  • The larger, wheel-shaped scoring blade creates a very fine score line that folds easily.
  • Easily cuts 2 – 3 sheets of cardstock or 3-4 pieces of DSP

* Just a note, there is a removable plastic protective film on the shiny white surfaces. This will begin to tear and scratch if you leave it on.
* TIP: When cutting, don’t press down too hard or you may create a bend at the edge of the paper. The blades are sharp and only need light pressure to cut really well!

Stampin' Up! Daisy Lane Sunflowers

October is my Mums birthday month and she is not a flower card fan well that is unless those flowers are sunflowers!

Daisy Lane is a really pretty set that I have had a heap of fun with since its release. You can see some of my other cards here and another here. This card wasn't hard but there are a few layers and I just kept adding to it until I was happy.

The flowers on the inside panel are stamped over and over with one inking similar to the front on the Celebration of Spring card I did for a previous post in September. I have also used both the Sponge daubers and Brayer to soften the background of the card.

To add the items for this card to your cart if you are shopping in Australia click any of the card photos or the Resource list above. The products are all pictured below with Australian prices but are available in all Stampin' Up! Markets just ask for them from your local demonstrator.

Stampin' Up! Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP - SBTD Lots of Leaves in October

It's lots of leaves month - in Australia it's really lots of flowers month being spring and all. In keeping with the theme I have pulled out the Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP for the SBTD hop.

This little Rhino cutie teams up beautifully with the DSP and since I am a great big green fan - green leaves hit the spot. Please pop on over using the next button below to see what the other hop participants have to share starting with Judi.

If you would like to see what goodies I have used to make this card please click the card photo or Resource List button below. If you're in Australia you can head straight to the online store from there to purchase those items.

Seeing Double! - Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop October 19

Welcome to this months hop - the Theme this month is Seeing Double - how would you interpret this one? With 15 people joining us on the hop I am sure you will see more than one interpretation of our theme.

Double layouts use to be my favourite - I could add a heap of photos rather than one or 2 and tell more of the story which is really what it's all about. I think it changed because of time constraints more than anything else so knowing that Delys loves double pages I decided a double page it needed to be.

So my middle child turned 16 earlier this year and we had the besties over for a sleep over - they watched movies ate popcorn and pizza and in general loved helping her celebrate.
I have used the 'Well Written Dies' for the script that I added tone on tone to give the plain vanilla card stock some texture, the Praiseworthy Prose stamp set for the sentiments and my chipboard snitches are embossed with gold embossing powder. They actually have a couple of layers of embossing powder heated onto them but to get that dark tarnished look I actually used a old pack. New embossing powder was way to bright for my liking and yes I will admit I have deliberately kept some older powder especially for its aged colour difference. I have a white container that's aged to vanilla colour for the same reason.

I do love this effect with the tone on tone words for texture.

Thanks for popping in - sorry there's no video this time I did like making the last one so will do another when I have the right page for it. Now its time to visit Eimear
