Christmas Table Decorations, 3D Decor - SBTD December anything but a card.

December 2019 the last month of the year and my favourite! This month with the SBTD crew we are making 'Anything But a Card'! so I thought I would share some of the goodies I made for the table this Christmas.

·      Paper – 12 x 6″
·      Score on LONG side at 1, 5¼, 6¾ & 11″
·      Score on the SHORT side at 1½ & 4½ ″
·      Ribbon to fit
·      Punched Elements

·       After scoring - Fold 1” scored section at either end to front of box first.
·       Fold all other creases, trim and miter joins as per picture above.
·       Adhere box together folding small flaps inwards to create the box,
·       Adhere sides then embellish with elements of your choice including ribbon.

 Copper Tin
  •     Designer series paper – cut to 12” x 3”
  •     Ribbon – wrap around tin tie bow then trim approx. 22” per tin
  •     Punched elements

Directions
Wrap tin with DSP ensuring overlapping seam at the back.
Adhere with snail or tear it tape that has been applied to the DSP.
Collect and arrange elements for decoration at the front of the tin.
Tie ribbon around tin near the top. 1 glue dot under the ribbon at the back will ensure it doesn’t slip down the tin.
Fill tin with treats or small gift cards.

Time now to hop on over to see what Tricia has to share with us.

Deck the halls - Christmas Gleaming SBTD November 19 blog hop

Welcome to this months Christmas themed hop - I love the Brightly Gleaming Suite but for this card decide to change it up a bit so here you have Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce.

Supplies.
Card Base: 21 x 14.9 cm scored and folded in half.
Card inside: 13.8 x 9.3 cm
Front square: 7.4 x 7.4 cm
Strip: 21 x 7 cm (use off cuts if you have them)
Envelope

  • The card base is stamped tone on tone with Poppy Parade ink - whilst you have it inked up stamp envelope flap so it coordinates. You will also need to stamp the extra berries for your card on either off cuts or your white strip.

  • Stamp your 2 decorations - I have used Poppy Parade for the smaller one and Mango Melody for the larger. Note there's 2 different larger ornaments and either work nicely.
  • Stamp the Holly in Shaded Spruce on your strip of card. The holly leaves are also used to on the inside piece but I was careful to only get the leaves that way I didn't need to add the red berries.

  • I then took my aqua painter with only a small amount of water since Whisper White is not really a fan of being wet, and pushed the ink around for a watery look. I did this to both the leaves and the berries.
  • I then fussy cut the holly and red berries out. Why not cut first you ask - well if you make one to wet and its not that nice looking you don't need to cut it out.
  • Adhere the berries to the spot where they are stamped on our green water coloured leaves.
  • Stamp the sentiment in the bottom right corner of your square piece and another holly in the top left.
  • To put this together stick your white square closer to the opening side of the card leaving room for the ornaments and holly to use up some space on the other side. The top holly is all that has dimensionals under it.

I look forward to seeing the colour combinations you come up with but for now onto the next person in our hop this month Tricia she is playing with the beautiful Christmas Time is Here Suite.
