More Birthday Hugs

Remember the Lemon Lime Twist birthday hugs card I shared last week? I just loved it so much I needed more in other colours - The kids have been in my card stash (that's what its for I will say though) and it was seriously lacking the bright fun type the kids like for their friends.

So above we have Tempting Turquoise - I added the balloon and party hat from the Birthday Delivery stamp set to jazz it up a bit.

This is Berry Burst - wow I love these new In Colors from Stampin' Up! The other colour families have been a bit neglected I'm afraid.
What's not neglected in this creative space are envelopes and inside - so here is a photo to share the follow through from the front feature. The Tempting Turquoise card is the same.

Want to recreate my card? You are most welcome to - I have shared the supplies on my previous post HERE, changed up the colours but added the Stamp set Birthday Delivery, our black marker and the dots from Bunch of Blossoms to these 2 cards.

Till next time -

Love and Hugs with Daisy Delight

The Daisy Suite would have to be one of the most popular Suites in the New Catalogue I think - well it is with my customers and they are all itching for the Punch to be 'back in-stock' as soon as possible.
So this card is one I made just using the stamp set because it is still available whilst we wait for the punch.

I have used the DSP from the suite - my favourite piece out of the pack in fact!
The sentiment is from the Ribbon of Courage set.

The lovely yellow featured in the DSP pack is Daffodil Delight - you have a close up photo here to see the piece I stamped tone on tone  for another layer.

Along with your basic tools and adhesives you will need these goodies to recreate this card.

Birthday Hugs with Lovely Inside & Out

I had to have a play with Lovely Inside & Out set. There is no one particular that I made this card for I just wanted to play. Now I am thinking I need to add some of these to my stash - It would make a great Stamp A Stack card - just do the water colouring first to allow for drying time!

So I cut the 'Birthday' out with the new Happy Birthday Thinlit trimmed it up a little where the Happy normally sits as I didn't want that on there.
I water colour washed the Lemon Lime Twist ink on some Shimmer cardstock (don't think you can see the pretty shine on the computer screen well). When that was dry I embossed the word HUGS on the front of the card.
Black embossing - but wait we don't have black embossing powder? How did I do this? The same way I did on the font on my cards HERE where you ink the stamp with Versa Mark, then coloured ink then stamp, cover with clear embossing powder, heat and watch the magic happen.

A quick snap of the coordinating inside and envelope for you.

Along with your trimmer and adhesives you will need these goodies to make this card.

Stamp Set Tetris - Fitting Stampin' Up! Wooden sets back in the box!

Back to work this week at the local hospital after 3 months long service leave and wow its hit me like a tonne of bricks. With energy sapped it was all I could do to pop a few photos away (those Memories & More pages to show another day), I couldn't think straight to make anything so decided to put some stamp sets together.

So here we have Oh So Eclectic (143937) its a snug fit but it works so one box it is.

Next up Lovely Inside & Out (144008) - another snug fit. I am rather partial to that big spikey circle and the word HUGS.

Last one to share is Wood Words 143925 - I love this rooster stamp (hubbies nick name is Rooster) - this box even has a little space left over down the bottom of this box. This one isn't my set but I wanted a photo of it for my Pinterest board with the tight fitting sets on it so my friend let me snap a quick photo - I have this in clear and love it!

Baby Bear in Berry Burst for the new Parents.

I am loving the new Berry Burst colour it plays nicely with so many others.
I was doing some Pocket Scrapping and cut one of the cards from the Colour Theory Memories and More card packs for one of my pages - I was left with the piece that said 'Let the New ADVENTURES begin' so I used it to create this card.

http://bit.ly/KyliesJuneHighlightsVoteforMeHere

I have entered this card in a challenge for a bit of fun. You can hit the badge above to vote and the gallery of all the entries will open up for you in a new screen.
Before you leave though let me tell you more about this as its a quick and easy card to recreate if you need a baby girl card in a flash. I'm afraid there is not a blue version of this card in the card pack.

I inked up the word 'baby' in crumb cake on one of the sentiments in the Baby Bear set so I could add it to the card.

Taking a closer look I have used the stamp that makes the top layers and stamped it on my Crumb Cake Card for a little texture - tone on tone didn't look right so I used Versa Mark to do the stamping for this particular card.

Below what the card looks like on the inside. I did play with the bow on the front but it didn't work for me (might need to get some of the new In Color Bitty Bows for next time).

I hope you like my Baby Card you can vote for it HERE and see some other great baby inspiration whilst your there.

RAK (Random Acts of Kindness) Blog Hop June

Welcome to the Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Blog Hop. You are visiting me - Courtenay in Australia. I am showcasing the cards I have and will be sending as part of the Random Act of Kindness Card Group on Facebook over the month of June.

Each month, we each select a few people from the Group to send a RAK card to, to brighten their day. Please feel free to join the Group if you would like to participate in the RAK cards movement (blogging is not mandatory). #imbringingRAKcardsback #makeacardsendacard

My Colour Pallet this month -
These are the cards I have made, I used the same technique I did when I made the Feather cards HERE all those years ago.

A few techniques that you may like to use yourself - I clear embossed using the circles from Paisley & Posies then sponged over them. I use one of the backboard pieces from the packs of foil to help save my fingers from the heat gun - it also makes doing things on mass easier.

I wanted to add a little more shine so the sentiment is also embossed. Can you see that its coloured embossing? Its very easy to do and it means that you can emboss in every colour we have!

Give it a go - the process order - Versa Mark your stamp then ink in the colour of your choice, stamp, cover in clear powder then heat as normal. I have been having a load of fun with this and its made a difference to so many cards I have made recently - its a little bit of extra WOW!

The inside of the card matches the envelopes, a little touch I love to add.

If I am using a coloured base I pop a white insert that's stamped inside the card as well.

I have made 12 - they are going to locally (Australia) and overseas. Whilst it's lovely to send them to the group I will be sending 4 of them to friends I haven't been in touch with recently just to let them know they are not far from my thoughts. I love happy mail and I'm sure I am not the only one.

This is another colour variation - Crushed Curry, Real Red and Pacific Point.

I hope the projects you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day. Please see the list below & hop around all of the people on the list to see all our projects. Next on the list is Kylie. You don't want to miss any!

Along with your Trimmer and clear blocks you will need these items to make these cards.
