Hello 40 Mixed Drinks Birthday Card

Celebrate in style they say - 40 is one of those 'big' birthdays that seem to be happening a load this year in my friend group.

Although I am a teetotaller most of the time - my scrapping friends are not! This was for one of them to go with her gift card for some Scrap Stash goodies.

To get the pale colour for the drinks they were all stamped off first and then the bubbles were stamped in full ink colour.
The hello thinlit has retired but I really needed to include it - I made the cake topper with 'hello forty' so the card had to match!

The cake - was amazing - my friends mum made it and wow it was impressive so I have to share a photo with my timber topper nestled perfectly in amongst all that chocolate and fruit.

Fancy Folds and 3D projects ESAD blog hop 10/2017 - Holiday Catalogue

Welcome to my contribution for the Fancy Folds and 3D projects ESAD blog hop using the Holiday Catalogue products - I will admit squeezing a few extra Annual Catalogue goodies in as well.

Today I decided to pull out an old favourite of mine The Gift Bag Punch Board. With Christmas coming very fast I thought some packaging would be great to get started on. I love the Merry Little Christmas spread in the Holiday Catalogue on pages 10-13 so decided to follow suit. I am giving jewellery to those owning the little box plus the bags and the big box will hold a bottle of perfume perfectly. They looked a little naked without some sparkle so I added a little bling with the initials of the gift recipients.

These 2 are bags made according to the instructions with the paper cut for the large bag 6"x12" and the smaller bag 6"x10" I scored the top at 1" to fold it over on the smaller bag to get the contrast.

So onto some boxes - still using the Gift Bag Punch Board - now I don't like to reinvent the wheel so I headed over to YouTube to find a video on how to do this. I found Amanda's video HERE and all the instructions including the measurements for the tall box are there.  The little box is a cut down smaller version as I need that size for earrings and a necklace.

Using the Everyday Label Punch and the Labels To Love Stamp set I have made this tag - its 3 layers, Whisper White, DSP and then the Stamped Christmas Tag.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you have liked my projects - please hop on over to Rebecca's page and see her great table settings and matching card that she has to share with us - till next time!

One Wild Ride - SBTD Blog Hop Masculine Cards

Welcome back my friends am I glad to have you here and join me for another SBTD Blog Hop. The theme for today’s hop is Masculine cards. Some people find these a challenge other no problem at all. I'm right if I have the right stamp set and this time I'm using One Wild Ride.

I had visions of what I wanted to do and really if I'm honest this turned out differently but I do like it! The badge is actually popped up on 2 dimensionals stacked on top of each other for extra height. Initially it didn't have the silver foil and I wasn't loving it. It needed the foil and fibre - if in doubt add fibre - a bit of a motto of mine especially since glitter or glimmer were really out of the question - lol.

When making the inside and envelope 'pretty' I though mmm what about the bike - it really is the feature stamp of the set so here is a second card using the same set a few extra bits but essentially the same supplies. I love that both cards are completely different.
I had a few scraps of stamped card so the banner with JOURNEY on it is in Memento but I have added a couple of layers of 'shine' using our Fine Tip Glue. I had to wait patiently (difficult to do) between layers as they need to be dry before moving on.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you have liked my projects - please hop on over to Tashana's page and see what she has to share with us - til next time!
