Welcome to the Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Blog Hop. You are visiting me - Courtenay in Australia. I am showcasing the cards I have and will be sending as part of the Random Act of Kindness Card Group on Facebook over the month of June.
Each month, we each select a few people from the Group to send a RAK card to, to brighten their day. Please feel free to join the Group if you would like to participate in the RAK cards movement (blogging is not mandatory). #imbringingRAKcardsback #makeacardsendacard
My Colour Pallet this month -
These are the cards I have made, I used the same technique I did when I made the Feather cards HERE all those years ago.
A few techniques that you may like to use yourself - I clear embossed using the circles from Paisley & Posies then sponged over them. I use one of the backboard pieces from the packs of foil to help save my fingers from the heat gun - it also makes doing things on mass easier.
I wanted to add a little more shine so the sentiment is also embossed. Can you see that its coloured embossing? Its very easy to do and it means that you can emboss in every colour we have!
Give it a go - the process order - Versa Mark your stamp then ink in the colour of your choice, stamp, cover in clear powder then heat as normal. I have been having a load of fun with this and its made a difference to so many cards I have made recently - its a little bit of extra WOW!
The inside of the card matches the envelopes, a little touch I love to add.
If I am using a coloured base I pop a white insert that's stamped inside the card as well.
I have made 12 - they are going to locally (Australia) and overseas. Whilst it's lovely to send them to the group I will be sending 4 of them to friends I haven't been in touch with recently just to let them know they are not far from my thoughts. I love happy mail and I'm sure I am not the only one.
This is another colour variation - Crushed Curry, Real Red and Pacific Point.
I hope the projects you've seen here on my blog today have inspired you & brightened your day. Please see the list below & hop around all of the people on the list to see all our projects. Next on the list is Kylie. You don't want to miss any!
Along with your Trimmer and clear blocks you will need these items to make these cards.
Till next time -
