Black & white Photo Scrapbook Page - Scrapbooking Global June 2023 Hop

Welcome to June! Where has the year gone - it is the 6th month already! Maï Lavidalie is our Design Team Member who has chosen the June Blog Hop theme for this month. The scope is vast as long as we have used a Black & White photo we will meet the months challenge.

Since there is a Paper special on this month I needed to play with one of my favourite packs the Bright & Beautiful 6 x 6" DSP.

Blind Scrapbooking Scrapbook Page - Scrapbooking Global April 2023 Hop

  

Yay it is my turn to pick this months theme. I have always had a bit of fun going to scrap events doing their 'blind scrap' challenges. They would give us a recipe for want of a better word and we would create our page based on the recipe. So that is what I decide would be fun. (Does that meme pop into your head 'It'll be fun they said" - it does mine lol)

Now this is the recipe we worked with.

The edge was done by dragging the ink pad lightly across the edges of the page. I then used markers to doodle. I repeated that on the DSP pieces. The strip that was for the middle I wanted more pattern so I chopped 3 different pages then glued them together to make one strip. All the flowers were fussy cut to make ephemera type pieces.

This is a behind the scenes - I chopped my trim to make it go further and this is how I stuck it down where I wanted it.

Creative Background Scrapbook Page - Scrapbooking Global March 2023 Hop

 

Welcome to March - yep another month has flown past! Delys Cram is our Design Team Member who has chosen March Blog Hop and it is a FANTASTIC challenge. A Creative Background Layout - yay - so I have picked one of the kids school photos because I am still so far behind with them. 

I started with a Soft Suede Base on this page as I knew that I wanted to use this particular piece of the Designer Series Paper from Abigail Rose pack. That lead the direction I was to take for the rest of the layout.

I used a variety of stamp sets to create my background as well as paper and cards from the Texture Chic Memories & More Pack - it had some very appropriate stickers in it so I made them into little embellishments for the page also.

I pulled out my new stamp set Classic Letters (it's part of the Online only offering) and just inked it up - I didn't even put them on a block that is how they are in the pack! I added some extra letters and numbers to make the stamped area bigger though. The title and the number panel was made using the Alphabet A La Mode Dies - which I love!
