Stampin’ Up! Mistletoe Season

Quick late night share - each month I make a Christmas card with my Stamp-A-Stack friends.
We are getting so excited in anticipation of the new Holiday Catalogue that's coming out. The 5th of September is D-Day for customers to order their goodies.

So out comes my newest Christmas stamp set Mistletoe Season to see some ink. I love the font for the sentiments in this set. The paler green is the Granny Apple Green Marker.

Card Re-Do SBTD July 18 Blog Hop

Welcome to the July Stampers By The Dozen (SBTD) Blog Hop - did you love Lindsay's  Re-do? If you have hopped on over from Lindsay's Blog in Colorado - well welcome to Australia. This month we are looking back in time to where we started with a card re-do. I don't have the first card I ever made all those years ago but I remember it clearly - a deep purple and silver Christmas Card. So what I have done is go back to my early blogging days and found the first card I posted on here. It was a Mojo Monday card sketch from way back in 2009 - well before I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

So where did it come from?

You can see the original Post HERE- heads up though its not much chop lol.

Well they are an interesting pair aren't they? The sketch I have tweaked a little once again and oh my gosh one thing that has improved considerable is my photography skills!

Who loves the new Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder? I do - it doesn't look like much in the catalogue but wow it gives a beautiful look to cardstock. The dream catcher on the front of the card is also embossed with clear embossing powder to make it all shiny - I had to pop the star on as well because I wanted to sneak a mini dimensional under there.

So what do you think - big difference over the years. I am looking forward to what the other team members have to show us so hit the next button below to hop on over to Tashana's Tropical Escape Re-do.

Scrapbooking Global July - Scrapbook Sketch

Welcome to our Scrapbooking global July Blog Hop. This month we have a sketch challenge that we put forward to the group - would you like to join us? We have 24 Scrapbooking Global members hopping for the first time. We have a Facebook group and will be doing a monthly Blog Hop plus a monthly Challenge - that's 2 pages a month guaranteed!

If you have joined me from Delys Blog welcome - you have arrived 'across the ditch' from New Zealand to Australia. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has done with the sketch.

So lets Hop to it!

I deliberated over this page heaps as it is very similar to the page I did last month. I worked backwards as far as I was concerned as usually I start with my photos then plan around them but that was not the case this time.
Step 1 was the sketch
Step 2 was to find a word that would be great for my 'Title'
Then I found some photos to go with what I had decide my Title was going to be!
Step 4 pick a paper range to suit - bonus I had the co-ordinating stamp set.

And Ta Da!

My Miss Eilish got her P Plates in January - over 120hrs learners experience done (well that was completed last November but we can't rush these things now), she was as nervous as hell but she passed first go. Proud Parenting moment when she came home with those red plates. It has been life changing here - I get to stay home an extra 2 nights a week now instead of doing the 'Dance Run' 4 nights!

I cut 1 inch off 2 sides of my 12x12 Whisper White piece, and 3/4" off my Blueberry Bushel patterned side piece of DSP to frame my White background then mounted it on the full piece of Grey Granite DSP. My squares are actually 2 3/4' and my middle strip piece is 6 x 2 3/4" size. The photos are not mounted and although its hard to see the top photo is actually sitting up on dimensionals.

I tweaked the sketch a little, but that's encouraged - right? I added a second photo instead of a journaling square. I love the little car in the En Route stamp set so its embossed and made into a little embellishment.

Thanks for popping in - hope you like my page please feel free to leave a comment below prior to hitting the next button to continue on the hop. You can Find us on Facebook HERE then request to join so you can hop along with us next month if you like.

Stampin' Up! Color Your Season Limited Release

Demo perk alert - pre-order - yay I have this beautiful limited release bundle already in my hot little hands and its seen ink!
So what's in the deal I hear you ask? August sees a limited release of Blended Seasons stamp set, Stitched Season Framelits and a second assortment of watercolour pencils to customers in all Stampin' Up! Markets. Demonstrators can get it now on pre-order (including those that sign up this month - check out that Promotion below).

The new watercolour pencils are divine and have
10 pencils in Stampin' Up! colours. Acid free, lignin free.
Balmy Blue, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy. I am very glad to add so many more green pencils to my collection.

First I white embossed the largest flower image in the set on a piece of Crumb Cake cut to 9cm x 13.5cm. I pulled the white pencil from our original watercolour pencil set and coloured in my embossed stamp.
You can use white ink if you don't have the first watercolour pencil set for a similar look. Once all white I then added the colour straight over the top. Oh you don't need to be especially neat with this step and depending on the intensity of flower you are after add more or less colour.

This one is the Crushed Curry flowers, framed with a Crushed Curry piece cut to 9.5cm x 14cm. The sentiment I stamped using my Stamparatus first in Garden Green then Versamak so I could pop some clear embossing powder on it and make it really stand out. (I have done this before without the Stamparatus but this was heaps easier - see this post HERE)

This colour combination was made using the Gorgeous Grape pencil as the pencil and frame colour.
