MDSM73 MDS Monday challenge sketch

Its been a while so I though a visit to MDS Monday was in order and they had a sketch that appealed to me.
Its all about family - I noticed when picking my photo that its been a long time the 5 of us have had a group photo so I decided on this lovely one of myself, Mum and my eldest daughter.

This is the sketch I started with - I didn't realise how many great tree options we have on MDS. I learnt new things through the tutorial section - take note of my curved 'Family' pretty impressive!

The new Catalogue is LIVE!

Well its here - the new Catalogue that is and to say I am excited is the understatement of the century. So many new goodies to love, so many new toys to play with and I am so happy to say this is an AWESOME catalogue… full of ideas, projects, and inspiration. You can click on the above picture to view it OR if you want your own in your hot little hands, here's what to do:

1. Come to a catalouge Launch this coming weekend! Saturday 5th July at 7.30pm. You'll not only get a catalogue of your own, but get to make 3 awesome projects with brand new products. Cost is $15. Click HERE to RSVP or pop over to the events tab on my Facebook page HERE and click the going button.

2. Book a workshop (or party) and get to see it AND play with the new products with your friends. You'll get your catalogue for free as a thank you, plus lots of free products too!

3. Contact me to have one sent to you or to collect one.  If you are collecting the catalogue price is $5. If you need it mailed out the cost is $10 including postage.

New Catalogue Launch - come and play with the new stuff!

So I finally have some dates for those that have been asking for them.  But I already know that you will need to be quick to book your spots as I have only space for a limited number.

There's only one date currently and this is a pre paid event.

Saturday evening the 5th July at 7.30pm at the Girl Guide Hall at Niagara park (next to Niagara Park Primary School, on Narara Vally Drive)

The cost to attend is $15, and you will make 3 projects using predominantly NEW STUFF from our gorgeous new catalogue. You will receive a free catalogue (or if you already have one, a $5 voucher to put against any order that you make at the event).  There will be prizes and refreshments of course.

All my classes are held on the Central Coast NSW but workshops can be booked a little further afield.

 Looking forward to seeing those that can make it!  (If you can't make it, but want to see the new stuff, consider your own workshop. You only need a few friends around the table to make it viable, and everyone gets to make something beautiful! Lots of fun with friends AND productive as well :-) I'm currently taking bookings for July and August.

Lego love.

We make cards to share some love for those we give to.

A little part of me goes into every card I make especially when it's made with a celebration in mind. 

I make a lot of cards just to play with no particular recipient in mind but yesterday I had a purpose.

My little nephew is turning 5 and I needed a special card to go with his gift of the Lego Movie.

I hit Pinterest (love this resource) and noticed I'd pinned the same card 3 times but interestingly from 3 different sources all climbing the card idea was theirs. 

I will tell you I get inspiration from all over the web ans will copy great card designs because there is no reason why one should reinvent the wheel. Impost my photos for people to find inspiration from and hay feel free to copy them but I believe that the original creator should be acknowledged. 

So here is the card I made

I CASD it from  with a few tweaks of my own. I believe Marelle from here http://www.marelletaylor.com/2011/12/jacobs-lego-birthday-card.html created the original inspiration for this fun idea and I thank her. 

New Treasures from my big brown box.

It took a  while but Australia Post finally delivered a box of new goodies. 

Being a Demonstrator has some great perks one of which is getting to play with new stuff befor everyone else can. 

So with the new Blendabilities from Stampin' Up! I set about doing something relaxing and reminiscent - I coloured.

This has taken me back to a happy place and I am looking forward to colouring some more with these great markers. 

Inspire, create, share 2014 South Pacific Convention Melbourne

What a great first day of convention. 

We have 2 new stamp sets to play with and the new Catalogue to pour over.

I did 34 swaps and the Island Indigo ones were the first to go.

Impromptu card making

A friend popped in so we made some cards. 

She had never made a card and in fact she thought she couldn't! 

We started by using the Hip Hip Hooray kit but tizzed it up with some DSP Soho Subway scraps.

We followed this with a 'yellow' card.

So out came the Daffodil Delight that we complimented with a Tangerine Tango and Watercolour Wonder DSP.

I have just got home from convention!
I had heard so much about convention over the 7years I have been purchasing Stampin' Up! products. Now as a new demonstrator I am understanding the who ha, feeling blessed I got to be here, and kicking myself I didn't join sooner. (Isn't hind site wonderful) I have made new friends, got some wonderful ideas and most if all have a goal to ensure I am joining in the fun next year.

We got free stuff, made some great projects and saw some awesome presentations so I am inspired but exhausted!
