Rainbow Glitter Coloured 21st Birthday Card

Something sparkly and rainbow glitter for a 21st - can't go wrong with this combination. I used the new Stampin' Up! Rainbow Glimmer cardstock for this super special birthday card.

I loved how this worked out on my last card so needed to use it again. The new stamp set Happiest Of Birthdays teamed up with the Stamparatus and boom you have the option to colour all the words in different colours! You will see this example in the catalogue using 3 colours. If you use different colours start with your palest colour then colour each word saving the darkest til last. Huff on it then stamp - your breath re-wets the ink.

Happy Birthday Coloured

Stampin' Up! Embossing Folders - SBTD Blog Hop July 2020

Welcome to this months SBTD hop with the theme Embossing folders - I have chosen to feature the Greenery Embossing Folder that is part of the Forever Greenery Suite.  If you have joined me from Judi's page or you are starting here please hop through and see what the participants have to share - there is some amazing inspiration among our hoppers.

Embossing Folder Greenery

I have use the Greenery Embossing Folder on the Vellum to add  some texture to the back of my featured sentiment. The vellum allows the underneath colour to show through in a subtle way.

Embossing Folder Greenery     Embossing Folder Greenery

The Greenery Embossing Folder bundle features 2 folders that are approx 15.9 x 8.6cm in size so they will be perfect for the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine once it is released.
The effect on the vellum is cool why not give it a go with your embossing folders - it reminds me of Parchment Craft that I use to do with a stylus - same effect but way quicker!
Top Tip - adhesive shows through the vellum so be heavy handed under your embellishments that are on the top parts of the vellum. I attached the die cut leaves to the vellum first then I knew where I could pop the adhesive.

Monochromatic Scrapbook Page - Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking Global July Blog Hop.

Hi and welcome to the Scrapbooking Global monthly blog hop for July. The theme this month is Monochromatic Scrapbook pages and I will admit I have never done one before. If you have joined me from Maï's page or you are starting here please hop through and see what the participants have to share - there is some amazing inspiration among our hoppers.

Monochromatic Scrapbook Page

So searching through my photos I picked one of my girls dance photos as it's been a while since I have done a dance page.
I was looking at the photos and went with the grey from the school shorts in these pictures so that’s my 'colour'. I picked Basic Grey 12 x 12 as my initial colour, added some white with our embossing paste and chalk marker. The black is from a combination of Memento and a sharpie because I didn't like how our black marker showed up on the dried embossing paste.

Not sure if it easy to see but before the Embossing paste dried I pulled out our Brick embossing folder and I pressed it into the wet embossing paste just making the impression of the bricks - it looks a bit like the back of a schoolyard wall. The dance is called Naughty School Girls. After I had done the embossing paste I wanted to try and make it more school Yardie - if that is even a word! So I was planning some graffiti on the brick wall but am I’m not very good at graffiti and didn't want to add another colour - man read would have looked smick!

I have added the stamp sets to the bottom of the resource list essentially because you can grunge up your background with whatever you have that works. The oil smudge from Garage Gears comes out here frequently for that!

Thanks for visiting please leave a comment below as i love to see what you think. Next in the hop is Sherry all the way over in Canada - only way we can visit is virtual at the moment, I am looking forward to what she has to share.

Hawaiian Hibiscus Scrap Page

Last month I shared a scrap page for a blog hop using new goodies that I loved so I decide to recreate it using a different DSP pack and came up with this Hawaiian Hibiscus Scrap Page.

Hawaiian Hibiscus Scrap Page

So why the Hawaiian Hibiscus style - well get a look at those fun gag glasses she has on they just lent themselves to this page. We have an app on our phones that lets us play with colour  on photos - we can remove it all and add it back as we wish which is what I did here. Flamingos and pink are really not my style so I went with the set Timeless Tropical as my key stamp set teamed up with the coordinating In the Tropics Dies for my embellishments. Each of the Hibiscus and Frangipani flowers are stamped, then coloured with Stampin' Blends then re-stamped with Versamark and clear embossed. I could never have done this accurately without the Stamparatus  though.

I have also used stamps from the sets Painted PoppiesPattern Play and Ridiculously Awesome the same as I did on my Sunflower Page HERE. The DSP featured on this page is from the super fun bright Artistry Blooms DSP

Australian Wattle Tribute using the Stampin' Up! Forever Fern Bundle

I am loving the Forever Fern Bundle and what people around the world are doing with it so I decided I would do a tribute to our Australian Wattle. So this is my Australian Wattle Tribute card made using 2 of the leaf stamps from the Forever Fern Stamp set and the Greenery Embossing folders that are also part of the Suite.

Australian Wattle Tribute Card

The card is Whisper White and Early Espresso with the 'Wattle' being stamped in the new Bumblebee, the leaves are inked in Old Olive then sponged using a dauber with a hint of Cinnamon Cider onto vellum. The sentiment is from Meant to Be.
The inspiration from this card comes from page 130 of our annual catalogue. I pulled the sketch from one of the cards on that page then went from there.

This is the sketch I came up with for this card and this is what I worked from - all inspired by the catalogue. Click either photo below to get the list of supplies to make this card or one similar.
