Welcome to the Inksomniacs Team blog hop. We all love the new Occasions Catalogue and each time we create or share something using the goodies from it we get excited - I have had a lot of my Stamping friends exclaim "oh I didn't really want that set before but wow now I need it! Have you ever heard the term "CASE" card? Wondered what it meant? It stands for "copy and share everything" and today we will show you how as we "CASE" the Catalogue for our hop.
Our Catalogues are a wonderful resource of great inspiration and ideas so today I have chosen to "CASE" the Occasions Catalogue page 17 where you will find the Perennial Birthday Stamp set. This set coordinates with the Perennial Birthday project kit but can also be used to make some lovely cards.
How beautiful are all 3 of those? Well since I am still loving Lemon Lime Twist today that card was the winner - I will admit I plan on making the others as well. I tweaked it just a smidge as its such a beautiful card as is.
This card has embossing, water colouring, stamping off, fussy cutting and pen flicking techniques on it so was a heap of fun to do. All the flowers are embossed using Versamark, Memento stamp then clear embossing powder - you can see more about how to do this HERE.
Pen flicking is random and fun but very messy so make sure there's nothing close you don't want splatters on! You need the Marker from the sets as you need the brush end to flick it easily.
The lemon Lime Twist colour around the flower group is done using a dauber but the rest of the colour is applied using the Aqua pens. Happy Birthday is stamped off first to make it more subtle. the pink flower and leaf combo is popped up on dimensionals.
Now we are off to visit Tanya to see what goodies she has CASEd using the Picture Perfect Party Suite for this hop.
