Stampin' Up! Season Like Christmas in Old Olive or Soft Suede?

So we all have our favourite colours don't we? The first colours I purchased all those years ago were Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive, 10 years later they are still my favourite deep down colours.

Playing with the Seasons Like Christmas stamp set - will say I saw this beautiful card Janneke made for the Global Design Team Challenge I had to make my own version)

So playing some more I decided to try the same card with Soft Suede and this was the outcome!

The tree is only Old Olive on both cards - the larger fuller branches are stamped off first to give the lighter shade. the larger fuller branches are used on the base card in the same ink colour for the 'texture' look on the card - they were stamped off as well.

Don't forget your inside and envelope they look so much nicer with a little matching ink.
This is a great Stamp-A-Stack project, a easy to put together card that looks great and uses minimal supplies.

This week the Global Design Project #GDP115 have a theme challenge - This week's theme is all about sharing the joy of Christmas. You can find all the details on their page HERE - I am thinking I may have to play along with that one so watch this space.

Stampin' Blends Color Me Happy - ESAD Blog Hop

Welcome to the ESAD Blends Blog Hop - I'm very excited to share some new goodies from the up coming 2018 Occasions Catalogue that I have used our Stampin' Blends on. They are beautiful to colour with and colouring makes me happy so there should be more of it!

I was privileged to be asked to present Bird Banter at the On Stage Training in Melbourne and I was super excited when the set arrived shortly followed by the Stampin' Blends! This stamp set and these cute little birds are a match made in heaven.

This is a photo of me with my 'space' loaded with the samples I made - I will be sharing them over the next couple of weeks as we get closer to the new Occasions Catalogue starting. The Christmas Catalogue still needs more loving from me so the sneak peeks will be scattered amongst my regular posts.

The Toucan and the Macaw took me straight into the bright vibrant colours of the bird world and my brain started buzzing with ideas. I initially had my samples using our watercolour pencils but when the Blends arrived I changed them! I found them really easy to colour so I’m sure your friends will as well.

This little guy needed to stand out from the crowd so not only is he popped up on Dimensionals but he is also the only one coloured in making him super special. Don't forget the inside of your card as this set has both outside and inside sentiments.

Sticking with the Toucan today here is a little thank you bag with special treats inside. The bag was sent through the big shot with the Sparkle Embossing Folder - don't you just love how it came up? I also folded the bottom of the bag to square it off so it sits nicely.

Thank you for hopping by - lets head on across Australia to the other side in WA and see what the lovely Kelly has to share with us. I finally got to meet Kelly at the Melbourne On Stage training event recently for which I am grateful – it’s so nice to finally meet a person in person you already consider a friend thanks to the wonderful world of social media.

Stampin' Up! Petal Palette Sneak Peek

One of the Demo perks is the opportunity to order from the new catalogue before its released - this way we can create samples and get started on our New Catalogue planning. The next new Catalogue is teamed with Sale-A-Bration the best Stampin' time of the year and let me say its bursting with beautiful goodies.

I decided to use a new set for the current Colour Inkspiration Facebook challenge #CI21 hope you like it.

The new set is called Petal Palette and will be available in the Stampin' Up! online store or from your Demonstrator from the 2nd January 2018 - it's really not that far away! It is available bundled with coordinating Petals & More thinlits and there's some pretty funky shapes in there.

The colours we needed to work with and the inspiration picture the palette came from. There is a Blog Hop with the design team members and you can check it out HERE

Want to play along? The Facebook group can be found HERE with a different colour challenge each fortnight.

Christmas Gift Packaging, Gift Card Holder - SBTD Nov Blog hop

Welcome to our SBTD November blog Hop. We are a small group of 12 Demonstrators from around the world - you are currently visiting Australia.

We are focusing on Gift packaging - with Christmas so close its time to start preparing. In our family we often give the bigger kids Gift Cards - especially ITunes cards so this is perfect to make it that little bit more special. Today I am following another of Dawn Griffiths YouTube video tutorials to make the 'card'. You can watch the video HERE - I love that she speeds bits up so that her videos are quick and easy to watch.

Cut Card and DSP (all measurements in inches)

Colour 1 (Cherry Cobbler)
Base 4 1/4 x 11 (score in half and then at 2 3/4)
Inner Piece 3 1/2 x 9 (score in half)

Whisper White
4 x 21/2 one
4 1/4 x 3 1/4 cut two

DSP (pattern 1)
4 x 2 1/2
4 1/4 x 3 1/4 cut one of each

DSP (pattern 2)
3 1/4 x 1 cut 2

Tools
2" Circle punch
1 1/2" Circle punch
1 3/4" Layering Circles scallop to frame (use a scrap of Glimmer paper)

So before sticking the small circle on the front hold the card flat and then add your dimensionals just below the top piece that folds over the front - that way you won't stick the front down wonky and the circle close mechanism will work well.

Thanks heaps for hopping by, below the hop participant list is a list of the goodies you will need to make this card. Please continue to hop around with Tashana up next, I always love to see what she has in store for us and she is using some of my most favourite DSP.

Stampin' Up! Australia On Stage Live with Courtenay Heuston Bird Banter Sneak Peek!

Hi I'm Courtenay a Stampin' Up Demonstrator in Australia and this has been an amazing week for me and my family.
My eldest daughter finished High School and had her formal - next day I headed to Melbourne for the November 2017 On Stage Local event - bonus this bag of nerves got to product spotlight the new Bird Banter Stamp set from the Upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalogue!
The start of the show was not me but Roy! He is my super cheeky and very noisy Cockatoo.

This is Roy

Roy was super impressed with the Cockatoo stamp and I fell in love with the balloon!
I used the Cockatoo stamp and embossed the Crushed Curry card for a textured background before using the large letters for my page title. I used the Perfect Days Memories & More Pack in my pockets and the Bird Banter stamp set to compliment my photos.

Because Roy has so many friends come to visit - not only do I get no passion fruit off my vine but I have some extra mouths that demand to be fed! I used a piece of copy paper to mask the front Cockatoos so I could stamp the back row. they are coloured with the new Stampin' Blends but the markers and watercolour pencils would also work.

I have a heap more sample to photograph and share over the coming weeks so pop back frequently to see what's new - Happy Stampin' everyone.
