Thoughtful Branches – It’s Your Last Chance!

Thoughtful Branches – It’s Your Last Chance!
News today from Australian Stampin' Up! office - They anticipate that they will deplete their stock of Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set and Thinlits within the next few days—and once they’re gone, they’re gone! So this is your very last opportunity to get your hands on this amazing stamp set and Thinlits bundle.

For inspiration this is one of the many boards on Pinterest I follow can be found HERE

Why do I like this board in particular? - Well Lori seams to have similar style to me but if you check out her other boards she is so neat and tidy with them and that makes it easier to see where I want to sticky. I do like how organized she is.

One of my favourite cards I made with this set was this Christmas Card.

You can see the original post on this blog about my card and other examples for Christmas using this LINK
Oh and a quick update on the FISHY thank you cards featured HERE well the recipients loved them. The owner of Captain Cook Cruises Australia and all the stuff were super chuffed. Next task Thank You cards for the staff at our local Radiotherapy Unit they have been amazing over the last 6 weeks.

Not Enough Candles

Birthday Wishes continue - the midwife in me knows how busy September can be! One can never have enough candles each one is a milestone and should be celebrated.
Hubby continues to encourage me to use my retired goodies - you know those ones you you fell in love with that you had to have but have never been featured because you are saving them for good! Well life is short and every day, birthday or celebration is a reason to bring out the favourites.
The good china shouldn't be saved so pull it out pop some cake on those plates and enjoy all that is good in your life.

This card was for mums friend Dave and he was a very appreciative recipient which is always good for me as well. I do like it when people like what I make for them.

This one below was for my Father in Law, he is also very good for my ego as he gushes over all the cards I make even those that are not for him.

So that was where it all started and now they are in all different colours - my girls love to give their friends handmade cards. As normal adolescents they leave things to the last minute (I have no idea where they got that trait from ☺️) so I need to have a fun stash of cards ready to go for them.

FYI - I have stamped all the candles using the Build a Birthday stamp set  138646 with the fattest candle stamped on a scrap of Whisper white then trimmed and popped up on some dimensionals making it easier to tie the Bermuda Bay bakers twine 138413 around it.- note to all stamp the flame first before you pop up the candle - trust me its heaps easier that way.

For the Birthday Boy

Its Birthday month is this house with both my husband and daughter celebrating.
This is Tony's card and I had a bit of a play on the fact he prefers ice cream to cake. We had one of those Cadbury Crunchie ice cream cakes and oh wow was that yummy!
We are saving for a trip to Hawaii where we will be memory making big time (can't wait to Project Life and scrapbook those photos). Tickets and all that important stuff is sorted now we need day trips and activity money so this little beauty had cash in it.

I used the stamp set Party with Cake 140669. DSP from the Festive Birthday pack 141630 all the coordinating ink and cardstock basing it mainly around Tempting Turquoise as I love that colour!
One must not forget to dress the envelope - have you tried our envelopes they are very luxurious - in the Australian Catalogue they can be found on page 176 with the choice being Very Vanilla 106589 or Whisper White 106588 and you get 40 in a pack so its good value as well.

2016 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue

It’s here and the choice is huge, 55 beautifully photographed pictures of stamp sets, creations and other wonderful resources to help you with your paper crafting adventures.

Have you seen it yet – it is available online and in hardcopy. I do have a preference for hard copies. I know you all l know that the pictures of our stamps are shown in actual size. Bonus if you are looking for something perfect to go with a particular framenlit.

Demonstrators get to pre-order form the catalogues so that we can start creating and have examples ready for the release date of each catalogue – it also livens up Pinterest and at this time of the year Christmas is coming (at time of writing 107 days to go).

I've already done a big mail out but if you would like your own paper copy please pop on over to my www.stampinup.net/bagsthatone page to request one.

You to could get some happy mail - Australian customers only please.

Now before I go – have you seen the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Embossing folder? I didn’t get this with my pre order and have been kicking myself since. Well today I got to pop an order in and it was top of my “need” list.

Here is the Video that Stampin Up released with Shannon showing us how to use this beaut folder.

Dad's continue to Celebrate

Now I can share the other Fathers Day Card I made this time for my Father-in-Law.
Although it's highly unlikely he will see my blog posts (not really a craft following man and I'm not sure my Mother-in-Law lets him on the computer much) I don't share my cards online until they have been given to the recipient. Now say that this rule applies to cards made for particular people or events not those I just want to make because I can.

Does it look familiar? Well if you have a copy of the current annual catalogue it might tickle those rememberers- yes in my home that's a real word.

I CASEd it from the catalogue. Often it's the catalogue photos that make me love a stamp set, but let me say Pinterest also has enabled me to spend up bigger on an ever growing wish list.

The featured stamp set is Guy Greetings, my colours are Old Olive, Dapper Denim and Tangerine Tango. I love the new star embossing folder and to give the colour a little more depth I pulled out the new sponge rollers - wow those are fun and yield a great result. Let me say the FIL was impressed - stated he couldn't wait to show the people from the Caravan Club - hehehe that's a big deal for him.

Do you notice that some stamp sets are hard to squeeze back imto their cases? I have been taking photos and have even go a special Pinterest board happening for them if you would like to follow it you are most welcome and it can be found HERE.

Happy Fathers Day

The day is almost done with the kiddies all in bed.
Happy Fathers Day to all our Aussie Dads.
My husband had to look after our girlies and do the running around for all their commitments as I had a long shift at work.

After a late night crafting with the instructions from hubby - use some of that huge stash of retired stuff you have! Like he just has no appreciation for all my good stuff.
Well I tried can you spot the retired product?

Yep that's Dapper Denim and Calypso Coral and I cracked out my great letter framelits.
I pulled out my chunky sprinkles and some retired sequins to keep my end of the bargain.
There is something though about using new stuff.
Happy Stampin and Happy Father's Day.
