Let's get Traveling with a Stampin' Up! Scrap Layout - The Scrapbooking Global Team July Blog Hop

Welcome to Scrapbooking Global July Blog Hop, This month's theme Travel was picked by our Guest Designer Lotte Noordzij-Walther who lives in Rotterdam, Netherlands and you can see her page by clicking her name or HERE.
We have 19 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world
today who are participating in this Travel Blog Hop - so lets get hopping!

Wow I loved Cynthia's Page - we have so many talented people joining us this hop with so much Scrappy inspiration to share. Where did you start in the hop - if this is your first stop then welcome back if not I hope you enjoy checking out my page.
I normally scrap our holidays using pocket scraping but this month called for a 12x12 page - so I pulled out some pictures from our trip north from a couple of years back.

A couple of point I will make about this page - the adventure word is from the new Sweet Silhouettes Dies - I have cut it 5 times and glued them together  for added height. I then covered it with Versa Mark then heat embossed in clear.

Now lets hop on over to Diana's Blog and see her page - I loved her previous pages so I'm sure this one will be super special also.

Till next time. Happy Stampin'

Stampin' Up! Daisy Lane Bundle with Mango Melody

I am loving the new Catalogue but sadly my massive wish list does not have a dint in it so far with the few goodies I have been able to get - Kids and pets are expensive!

Having been to OnStage in New Zealand where we all were given the Daisy Lane stamp set with our tote bag the punch became something that I had to get early. I am so glad I did I must say as I love it and have been having a lovely play.

This is a very easy card to recreate if it takes your fancy and can be done in I will say almost any colour. I have use Mango Melody  with my sentiment in Early Espresso.
To make this card Cut your Whisper White thick cardstock to the card base size in your country - I'm in Australia so these are our measurements.
Card base 14.8 x 10.5 cm score fold line - trust me it makes it easier.
Mango melody 2.5 x 10.5 cm
Whisper White sentiment strip 2 x 10.5 cm
Mango Melody piece big enough to stamp 2 flowers and punch them out.

Stamp the whole front of the card with the daisy flower in mango Melody note they are close but don't actually touch each other. The other thing you can see is they are all slightly different angles.
I used Wink of Stella in the flower centers to give not only a little sparkle but also to push the ink around making a water colour look.

To make it easier I have added my shopping list for this card below - The sentiment is from Abstract Impressions.

Oh and then to make it even sweeter, Stampin' Up! will give you another $16 (as a coupon) to spend at a later date.

Over the last few weeks I have been busy getting ready for a big Craft & Quilt Fair at Darling Harbour in Sydney with 5 other Demonstrators. The 6 of us had a ball and are already talking about next years show.

We used the Stamparatus to make hundreds of these beautiful magnolias over the 5 days at the show. This is just one that I coloured with our watercolour pencils. I then coloured the flower and leaves using Wink of Stella so as you can imagine it is very pretty and sparkly.

Using the Above the Clouds Bundle I made this cute card for those people that wanted my recruit packs at the show. It's the card made using the suggested Starter Kit (Stampin' Up! have a suggested kit for those that don't know where to start because there wish list is so long and you can see it HERE)

Pretty chuffed and I know this may be a little fuzzy but this photo is actually the one that Intocraft shared on their Facebook page.

Something Old and Something New - SBTD June Blog Hop

Welcome to the June edition of SBTD Blog Hops - what an exciting time of year it is with a brand new catalogue with beautiful new ideas, stamp sets papers and tools to play with. This months hop has the theme 'Something Old Something New' - who else is with me and kept that going with something borrowed, something blue? So a wedding card it was for me!

A little back story - mum needed a wedding card for friends that have been together for over 13years, they were finally getting married in a non traditional wedding so she needed a card for that. Mum also loves the Perenial Essence DSP as much as I do so she wanted me to use that DSP. This is the card I made for mum to give her friends. It even fits that 'Weddng ditty' with something old (the stamp and die set), something New (the DSP), something borrowed (the sentiment on the inside was borrowed from another set), something blue (the Balmy Blue Cardstock).

How beautiful are these papers? All of the new DSP is just devine but this packet is way up there on my love list I must admit.

I hope you love my cards this month as much as I love creating them. Please pop on over to the lovely Tashana who is next in the hopping line and see what she has created for us.

Shopping List to remake these cards.
