Birthday Celebration Scrapbook page. Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking Global September 2020 Blog Hop.

Yay it's my turn to pick the theme this month - It's spring in my part of the world and what does that mean to some? Loads of babies! - so loads of Birthdays, my immediate family has 3 birthdays this month and I just knew I would want to scrap at least one of them hence my choice. 

My big girl - now a beautiful young lady I am very proud of turned 21 - I know where did the time go. We had a couple of small gatherings essentially turning it into a birthday party week rather than a large group in one hit. It definitely made it easier for my fridge to cope with the party food.

We had a 21 & MARVELous party - you may have seen some of the photos I have shared on another post (I will link it below), well I think this would have to be a record for a birthday scrap page for me - Scrapped within the next month never normally happens here!

I followed my party theme with bright fun colours red, blue, green and yellow known as Poppy Parade, Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight in the Stampin' Up! world to bring this page and my album to life.

The DSP I have used is called Artistry Blooms and is featured as part of the Artistry Blooms Suite on pages 130-132 of the South Pacific Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I needed something with stars or the like so I used Pattern Play to essentially make my own DSP - the Stamparatus was very handy with it's hinge step to help keep my all lined up. The other 2 stamp sets I used are Happiest of Birthdays and Ridiculously Awesome. All 3 are featured in the 20-21 Annual Catalogue. 

I have created a PDF of the images I cut out for my Boom Wow and Pow if you would like to convert them for your machine and use them on your electronic cutting machine. Don't have one that's cool print them in pale grey and pull out your snips - I don't know about you but I do find fussy cutting therapeutic at times.

Now onto the Album I have also made.

The video below shows you the 8 X 8 album I have also made - would you believe I have used the Magic in the Night DSP (yep Halloween) for this as I loved the black and white patterns on this paper. We took heaps of photos as you can imagine so I am sure I see some Memories & More pages in my future as well.

From All of Us - Stampin' Up! Birthday Card

What a great fun stamp set with cute matching font. Perfect to represent the family of 5 that I am part of - although I will not put a label on myself  as to which critter I am.

I have coloured the critters with our Stampin' Blends which you have seen me use many a time before. The Happy Happy Birthday and From All of Us was stamped on a small scrap of Whisper White Cardstock and then are raised up using our Stampin' Dimensionals.

I also stamped the envelope and the inside of the card. With the envelope I used the Stampin' Blends as well but you need to be really careful because the ink will actually get through to the back of the envelope very easily. To help prevent it going all the way through I just pop a piece of Cardstock inside so that that it is less likely to happen.

Scrapbook Sketch inspiration Page - Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking Global August 2020 Blog Hop.

Thanks for joining us for this months hop (August 2020) showcasing some great pages inspired by the sketch below. This month it is Sharni's choice of theme and personally I love it!

This is my page. I wanted to scrap these 3 photos of this dance that my girls were in - seems like ages ago that there has never really been the right DSP for. The dresses are a colour that is Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point blended together. Snowflake Splendor in this years Holiday catalogue mini is perfect well except for the snowflakes but they ended up working for me.

I turned the sketch on it's side to make fitting my photos in way easier and moved my title over to the other 'blank' space and popped the journaling in the smaller area because I didn't have a lot to say. I then pulled out my favourite Very Versailles and toned down the snowflakes with leaves and script in Pacific Point and Misty Moonlight ink. 

      

The layering behind the photos is DSP from the 6x6 Feels Like Frost packet - you can barely see where it overlaps. I love this DSP with its real life frost images on one side and silver foil / white patterns on the backs.

     

     

Oh my gosh the blue adhesive backed gems in the Snowflake Splendor Suite are just beautiful and add a little bling to this page just the way I like it.

I pulled out Christmas Layers Dies to get some textures with the flourish type pieces in there but will admit I avoided the snowflakes though even though I love them.
