Welcome to March - yep another month has flown past! Delys Cram is our Design Team Member who has chosen March Blog Hop and it is a FANTASTIC challenge. A Creative Background Layout - yay - so I have picked one of the kids school photos because I am still so far behind with them.
I started with a Soft Suede Base on this page as I knew that I wanted to use this particular piece of the Designer Series Paper from Abigail Rose pack. That lead the direction I was to take for the rest of the layout.
I used a variety of stamp sets to create my background as well as paper and cards from the Texture Chic Memories & More Pack - it had some very appropriate stickers in it so I made them into little embellishments for the page also.
I pulled out my new stamp set Classic Letters (it's part of the Online only offering) and just inked it up - I didn't even put them on a block that is how they are in the pack! I added some extra letters and numbers to make the stamped area bigger though. The title and the number panel was made using the Alphabet A La Mode Dies - which I love!

Love everything about this Courtenay, Perfect choice of DSP and 12x12 cardstock for those Memories and More card packs. Your photo is stands out against your creative background. Thanks for joining in the hop again this month <3 I almost grabbed out those letters BUT once I started mine I knew which direction I wanted to go, so they were not needed. Cheers Shaz
ReplyDeleteVery fun layout. Love the numbers highlighting the year. Many of us turned to the memory & more card packs. They make it easy to add elements to a layout. Great job! Jill
ReplyDeleteGreat page! I always forget to use those memories and more packs! You have inspired me to get them out!
ReplyDeleteLovely use of that stamp set and paper Courtenay! Fab LO once again!

ReplyDeleteWhat a creative way to use an alphabet set! And I love the use of the ledger paper as a background. I've got a piece of that set aside to use for this purpose as well. Beautiful layout. TFS
