CASE (kas) v. Copy And Share Everything

In the world of papercrafting there is no shame in copying - in fact its encouraged by Stampin' Up! You can copy a project exactly or you can change it up to suit your needs. But its advised and good etiquette to give credit where credit is due - hence you will frequently find me refereeing back to other papercrafters.

So CASEing - well I love it and sometimes you can see the inspiration in my final card - here is tonight's playing outcome.

I have a friend that I craft with frequently that always says 'I can play the song but I don't write the music' and that is exactly how I feel about CASEing plus its a great take on the meaning behind it. Hey how many versions of Michael Jacksons Beat It do you know?

The original Dapper Denim card is from our Demonstrator magazine that arrives in the mail box each quarter. So many great tips in there and so many extra great ideas.
So what did I do differently? I didn't have Big On Birthday's so I swapped it out for Window Shopping (first time its seen ink) and I think it worked. I then pulled out the Sweet Treats Washi and coordinating DSP for my balloons, the bakers twine to make it fine enough has been stripped down to one of the 4 strands to make the string. MAKE A WISH is embossed in Silver.
Computer screens change colours so to tell you that cardstock is Pear Pizzaz might help.

Here is your shopping list -as I am happy for anyone to CASE my version as well. Keep in mind I actually used scraps of DSP so just use what you have but that paper is just delicious and there is a reason I have scraps of it - I love to use it.

One Sheet Wonder - Wonderful fun

What a wonderful weekend- the sun was shining so washing got dry! That is a big deal. But I want to share my Stamp Club photos - we had a blast doing a one sheet wonder. This is a fun and easy project with great results guaranteed.

A Demonstrator Michelle Last from the U.K. Posted a YouTube video on how to do this and all I can say is wow!

We even had matching Cupcakes thanks to my friend Belinda.

Check out this video of how easy this collection is to make - you will also get to see all 7 cards.

Baby Bear in Mint Macaron

Just a quick share tonight as I'm shattered after a great big day at a 1 year olds birthday party - oh I must be getting old!

Anyway this is Baby Bear he is from the Annual Catalogue (I have always called him he so even in pink that's what you will see) Baby Bear is a 3 step stamp to get that great range of colour variation.
I have used Mint Macaron as the base followed by Soft Suede stamped off then the 3rd stamp was Soft Suede again but solid.

I will never say this is an easy stamp to use the first time - I have some seriously weird looking teddy bears here that I just can't bear (lol) to part with on my desk. Once I cottoned onto the lining up of the arm pits I felt it all slip into place. My advice Practice this one don't do it straight onto your piece of card if you don't have spare.

To make this card you will need these goodies.
If your in Australia you can use the pictures to purchase the items.

Lift Me Up with Stampin' Up!

Hope your Birthday is on Cloud nine - what a great sentiment! The Stampin' Up! Lift Me Up stamp set makes making guy cards so easy. This was one of the cards we made at my Creative Cuppa group at the local Coffee Shop 'Living Gourmet' in Erina. If your a local to the NSW Central Coast or passing through we meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month and everyone is welcome. Class times and options can be found HERE.

Now back to the Lift Me Up greeting card -  Mickeala from the Crafty Oink Pen inspired this card and you will see her card here they are quite different yet very similar aren't they?

This time I remembered a photo for the inside - mum has already snaveled this card to give one of her friends - I think she loves that I make these so she doesn't need to hit the shops as often. Oh and I think she likes that she doesn't need to pay over $8 for a Hallmark one!

What you need to make this card.
