Stampin' Up! Embossing Paste - just add texture!

I been playing with our new Embossing Paste - it was the top item on my wish list when the Demonstrator Pre-Order started for the Annual Catalogue this year. I adds another dimension easily - some say if you can spread peanut butter on a piece of bread you can use this great product.

This card is inspired from my friend and upline Linda's - I popped over to her place to craft one night and made the card featured on her blog HERE. I love crafting with friends - that's actually why I joined. Stampin' Up! have great co-ordinating products that are easy to use with great results every time.

This is the new In-Color Lemon Lime Twist but would look amazing in all the colours we have. I have coloured the embossing paste - 1 tsp of paste 1 drop of re-inker and I got 3 card fronts embossed from that small amount of paste!
I used the Paisley & Posies for my envelope and card inside to match the medallion.

As an example the front on the left of your screen is the white paste straight from the jar in comparison to the coloured paste. Oh the silicone craft mat is ideal to mix the colour and paste on.

To recreate this or a similar card you need these items plus a trimmer and adhesives.
If you love the Embossing paste as much as I do and need more options for masks - use the different framelits we have to create negatives and use those as masks - if you use our window sheets to cut them then you will get more than one or two uses out of the mask. Live in Australia? Check out the Clearance Rack in the Online Store - they have some retired Seasonal Masks in there for a discounted price (correct at time of publishing)

The Perfect Day - with Flower Shop

A couple of days a go I shared a different Stampin' Up! Flower Shop Card but I couldn't put the set away.
Have you seen the New Annual Catalogue yet? The card samples and inspiration are great this year and I have so many cards marked on my 'make this one' file.  This is one of those cards - page 28 in the Australian Catalogue.

Flower Shop Birthday Card

I Love the Daisy bundle but its hard as we are still waiting for the most popular punch to come back in stock! So although I am missing the Daisy's I have still got some Flower love to share. Flower Shop and its co-ordinating punch (the Pansy punch) have been a long term favourite of mine.

I will admit though its been a while since it has seen some ink but it felt so good to get it out again for a play. What stamp set do you have that you love to bits but haven't used in a while?

The Colours I have used are Berry Burst, Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango.
An unlikely Combination that I have decided works a treat.

The background is stamped with Versa Mark. The Envelope and inside were stamped to match. The Happy Birthday is from 'Window Shopping' and I actually coloured each word separately with the markers.

With your Trimmer and Adhesive of choice you will need these extra goodies.

Stampin' Up! Flourishing Phrases Sympathy Card

Who said Sympathy cards have to be plan, in pale colours or subtle? Not I!

I pulled out the Tempting Turquoise for this card. It started with me playing with Flourishing Phrases and embossing powder.

The heat embossing looks tops and I think it is very effective. The card looks lovely without a lot of effort. I think this would look great in a whole range of colours.

Goodies needed to make this card - along with your trimmer and adhesives.

ESAD Favourites from the 2017/18 Annual Stampin' Up! catalogue - Its a Rooster thing!

Welcome to this months ESAD Blog Hop - we are looking at our favourites in the new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue. Please hop along using the 'Next' button below to Terri's blog and see what other members of the hop have to share.

I have been playing with the Wood Words Bundle - you will find it on pages 158-159 in the Australian Catalogue. Its a very rustic set in the Catalogue but you will see it doesn't need to be.

Lets start with - Its a Rooster thing! Using the colours of the NRL Footy team Sydney Roosters this card was commissioned by my mother for a very dear friend of hers. Rooster Dave is an avid fan and loved his card that mum gave him for his Birthday.

I stamped the rooster on the Night of Navy Card - tone on tone. Then strutted him across the front in Real Red.
The happy Birthday thinlit (that I love) was cut twice then layered off center with just a little of the red showing through to give it some extra dimension.

For the Birthday card you will need these goodies.
But wait there's more!

How about a pretty girly version lets say a wedding card?

The brief -Same stamp set, some pink (lets go with Melon Mambo) and silver glimmer. I had seen a card and saved it to my screen shots on Pinterest that Dani from Michigan had done HERE so changed it up a bit and this is where I landed.

I have silver embossed all the writing on this card inside and envelope included.
If you look closely at the photo below the roses are also embossed in clear - the way I did this is similar to where I was colour embossing HERE but instead of doing the whole stamp I used my dauber to put the Versa Mark only where I wanted it. I then coloured over the top with my pens hence the streaky watery look as the pens blended with the Versa Mark solution. Colour the whole stamp then huff on it, stamp, apply clear embossing powder and heat.

To make the wedding card you will need these goodies with your trimmer and adhesive of choice.

Thank you for visiting please hop along to Terri's post to see what great ideas she has up her sleeve.
